On a crisp autumn day (and night) in uptown Manhattan, family and friends gathered for a wedding at the Morris-Jumel Mansion uniting Massomeh and Daniel. It was a joyous event with the backdrop of the oldest remaining house in Manhattan, now a museum.
Located in Roger Morris Park, previously known as “Sugar Hill” during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s, this neighborhood was home to prominent African-Americans and great artists including Duke Ellington, Paul Robeson, Jackie Robinson and Thurgood Marshall to name a few.
