One of the ways that I prepare for a wedding is to schedule a phone call or meeting with the bride and groom the week of the wedding. We review the timeline for the day and discuss in detail where the B&G portraits will be taken, where the family and wedding party photos will be taken, and how much time will be devoted to each.
Amanda and I had several calls the week before her wedding because rain was forecast and she and Michael were not planning on seeing each other before the ceremony. Because of the weather, we discussed plan A and plan B for their B&G photos. The day of the wedding it rained intermittently so, although we had to take the B&G portraits inside, I was able to capture individual images of Amanda and Michael with that beautiful winter light that is reflected off the Hudson River.
